This is a story of two mountaineers, Bruno Sourzac and Ramiro Calvo, bewitched by the same mountain in the heart of Patagonia - the granite monolith of Cerro Torre that rejects many suitors, even the most gifted ones.
Our team, bonded by strong friendship, laughter and passion, decided to reach the summit via the famous West Face.
Director Bertrand Delapierre
Director and cameraman, Bertrand Delapierre started filming extreme water and snow sports. Experienced mountaineer and snowboarder, his knowledge and his talent allowed him to share "the highest" altitudes with Marco Siffredi, the first man to snowboard from Everest. He filmed the descent of Marco from Cho Oyu and other Himalayan peaks. From short clips Bertrand passed onto full-length film while remaining true to his constant search of rare images, his own aesthetics and high level of performance.
